Marie C. Brown, M.A., Diagnostic Testing and Tutoring Center was created as a Southern California tutoring center to help students with learning needs. Marie is both the owner and primary educator of the students in this center. She has been an educator for 36 years in both private and public schools. She is an advocate for students achieving their potential ability.
Marie has an M.A. in Special Education and Reading with training in Math and Writing. Her Master's Degree was from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City. She has had doctoral work at the University of Southern California in Teaching, Curriculum and Special Education. Her undergraduate work was done in Psychology, Sociology and Mathematics at Caldwell College in New Jersey.
Marie has an excellent knowledge of learning styles and needs. Her experience as a Resource Specialist has been invaluable in allowing her to create learning environments for every student regardless of their difficulties. Being an advocate for students helps them learn and thrive. She works with all students from those that are young to those needing an adult literacy tutor.
The Center is located at 654 S. Azusa Ave., Azusa, Ca. 91702. Marie services the Los Angeles area as a Southern California tutoring center. You can contact her at 626 332 3002 or at mcptutor@aol.com. An application is required with a fifty dollar ($50) nonrefundable fee for materials and computer use. Once the application and fee is received then you will be contacted to set up an appointment date. Tutoring is twenty-five dollars ($25) per hour.
